  • Prototyping, mock-up, and modeling ability.
  • Understanding of prototyping, materials, and manufacturing processes within product development.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand human factors and design trends as they relate to project needs.
  • Strong knowledge of 2D, 3D, and rendering software – including Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, Sketchbook, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, Solidworks, Cinema 4D, and Blender; Maya is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes, primarily plastic injection molding, metal die casting, and stamping.
  • Knowledge of plastics, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on prototyping skills across materials and methods.
  • An interest in and knowledge of consumer electronics products.
  • Strong understanding of pop culture trends, fandoms, and the licensing landscape.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.

  • Generate multiple concept directions for projects and advance strong solutions within established timelines.
  • Prepare and develop concepts for user testing through prototypes or renderings.
  • Support designers in communicating design aspects through sketches, illustrations, renderings, and 3D prototype models.
  • Develop manufacturable, durable products by identifying and resolving design, engineering, material, and assembly challenges prior to production handoff.
  • Drive R&D efforts in new materials, 3D rendering, and on-site production.
  • Provide creative feedback and production assistance to the design team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with vendors to maintain project momentum, ensure alignment with development milestones, and meet deliverable dates.
