About The Position

Lynco Products, a leading distributor, manufacturer, and importer of consumer goods, is seeking a full-time Industrial Designer to join our in-house creative team in Rock Island, IL. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, product-focused environment and is passionate about bringing physical CPG products to life-from concept through production. This role blends traditional industrial design with hands-on graphic and visual design work, to support both product and packaging development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in industrial design, product development, or related roles (coursework and internships may count toward experience).
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for both product visualization and graphic design work.
  • Experience using KeyShot to render high-quality images and animations.
  • Strong sketching, ideation, and visualization skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to iterate quickly.
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating industrial design with graphic design (packaging, branding, or merchandising) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop innovative product designs for consumer goods across multiple categories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing and purchasing to ensure design feasibility and alignment.
  • Create high-quality sketches, 3D models, renderings, animations, and presentations to communicate design intent.
  • Apply design thinking principles to solve user experience and aesthetic challenges.
  • Develop supporting visual assets including packaging graphics, product branding elements, and merchandising concepts using Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
  • Contribute to cohesive product and packaging experiences that align with brand standards.
  • Ensure all design work—both physical and visual—maintains brand consistency.
