The Industrial Controls Technician will provide and coordinate production reliability improvement efforts and equipment troubleshooting support as needed with the production, maintenance, and engineering teams. This role serves as the first line of support for advanced troubleshooting activities. The technician will coordinate facility, trade, and OEM-service contractors, ensuring work is performed as expected and conforms to safety standards. They will become an in-house expert on both the facility and production operations, serving as the gatekeeper of all control and electrical drawings and the primary electrical/controls resource. Responsibilities include maintaining all PLC/HMI programs for compounding, packaging, and building systems, editing and writing PLC programs, creating/modifying HMI screens, and performing basic electrical troubleshooting and functional modifications. The role involves collaborating on team projects to problem-solve and improve processes, focusing on OEE, safety, quality, and work environment. A key focus is on equipment reliability and identifying opportunities to drive manufacturing capacity and capabilities.
