The Industrial Controls Technician performs machine maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical problems, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment issues to minimize downtime. The technician will actively troubleshoot CNC machines and controls issues (electrical/electronic, hardware/software) to ensure equipment can resume operation as soon as possible. Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and conveyors, as well as diagnosing and repairing control and mechanical system issues. A key part of the role is PLC programming and troubleshooting, specifically with Allen Bradley PLCs.
