About The Position

The Industrial Controls Technician will provide support to production by troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production equipment according to all safety legislation and safety rules. The Industrial Controls Technician will be expected to diagnose equipment malfunction, determine root cause and initiate immediate and long-term corrective actions. Requirements

  • Educational background in Electrical Controls, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering Technology or Equivalent.
  • Proven Experience in Controls Systems Troubleshooting
  • Experience with Allen Bradley is required

Nice To Haves

  • experience with Emerson is considered an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for candidates who can demonstrate the ability to meet the objectives outlined above.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate, commission, configure, install, and troubleshoot all pneumatic, electronic, electrical, mechanical, and analytical instrumentation devices.
  • Calibrate and repair analytical instruments that monitor or control variables such as flow, level, temperature, pressure, acidity, conductivity, and humidity.
  • Inspect malfunctioning or damaged equipment to identify the root cause of issues and report findings to Maintenance.
  • Develop and design control systems logic.
