About The Position

Support full-lifecycle automation and control system projects for mission-critical energetics and explosives production facilities. The role involves leading electrical and panel design, developing P&IDs, programming PLC and HMI systems, commissioning new equipment, and providing in-service support for complex industrial systems. Work with multidisciplinary teams to enhance safety, reliability, and performance. This position is onsite in Indian Head, Maryland.

Requirements

• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience supporting the full lifecycle of controls projects, from design to commissioning to sustainment.
• Ability to create and modify control system designs.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Automation and at least 4 years of experience with Rockwell or Allen-Bradley; alternatively, at least 8 years of experience with Rockwell or Allen-Bradley in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PlantPAx Distributed Control Systems.
• Experience with P&IDs and ISA 5.1 standards.
• Experience with SQL databases and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP.
• Knowledge of NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, and UL508A electrical standards.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
