About The Position

As a Controls Engineer, you will take on a more independent role in the design, development, and implementation of control systems. You will work on projects of increasing complexity and may lead small project teams or workstreams. This mid-level position requires hands-on experience with control system design and a strong understanding of industrial automation technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in control system design and implementation.
  • Excellent understanding and ability to create and work with a wide variety of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols and standards (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience with HMI development and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent understanding and abilities with schematic software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems for industrial processes, machinery, and equipment.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to meet project requirements.
  • Lead the integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of control systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Provide technical support during system installation and startup.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on control system design best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
