About The Position

As an Industrial Controls and Automation Electrician on our Cedar Rapids Plant team, you’ll work independently to keep complex equipment running, dive deep into root causes, and prevent the next stoppage before it happens. What your day looks like Install, maintain, and improve electrical controls and systems across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Diagnose and resolve issues on Allen‑Bradley components and PLC platforms using Logix 5000, SLC 500, PLC‑5, and other Rockwell Software tools. Regularly engage with industrial controls, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, metal detectors, weighing and temperature controllers, feeders, extrusion, material transport, and mixing systems. Service and repair 120/208V and 277/480V systems; assist with 13,800V electrical distribution when needed. Troubleshoot quickly and methodically to eliminate root causes and reduce future downtime. What you bring Proven success in a team setting with strong communication skills. Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and complex machinery troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and complex machinery troubleshooting.
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or 5+ years of relevant experience (required).
  • Commitment to safety, including LOTO and safe work practices (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on proficiency with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley software, PLCs, and HMIs (preferred).
  • Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) is a plus.
