About The Position

Rockwell Automation is seeking a data-driven Industrial Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their Continuous Improvement team. This role will support manufacturing and warehouse operations by leading improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, and overall plant performance. The engineer will operate at the intersection of manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, warehouse operations, and data analytics. This is a proactive problem-solving role that involves collaboration, support for daily plant operations, and guidance of process improvements through hands-on engineering work and structured CI projects. The position reports to the Manager, Continuous Improvement and offers a hybrid work schedule in Mequon, WI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, continuous improvement, or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience supporting plant operations and driving process improvements in a production environment
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, SAP, or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute continuous improvement projects across manufacturing and warehouse operations
  • Analyze operations and leverage data (e.g., SAP, Power BI) to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Support day-to-day plant operations by identifying and resolving process issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies on the shop floor
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive initiatives from concept through implementation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (production, warehouse, quality, engineering) to implement practical, sustainable solutions
  • Improve manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, material flow, work balance, and standard work
  • Improve end-to-end process and material flow (receiving, warehouse, production, shipping)
  • Apply Lean methodologies (5S, standard work, waste reduction, root cause problem solving)
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making
  • Support automation and digital initiatives, including process automation and implementation of automated equipment
  • Create and maintain standard work, work instructions, and training materials
  • Support new equipment, process changes, and layout improvements to improve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and problem-solving sessions to build CI capability
