About The Position

McCulloh Consulting is hiring for a Senior Project Manager opportunity in the Dallas metro area. Dallas-Fort Worth continues to be one of the most active construction markets in the country, with major growth across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, office, mixed-use, education, and infrastructure-related development. For an experienced construction leader, Dallas offers the kind of project volume, career visibility, and long-term opportunity that can be hard to match in smaller markets. This role is a strong fit for a seasoned commercial construction professional who wants to lead complex projects, own project outcomes, work with high-performing teams, and play a visible role in delivering major work across the region. The Senior Project Manager will provide overall direction and leadership for significantly complex construction projects and/or multiple projects at one time. This person will be responsible for project execution, financial performance, subcontractor management, schedule oversight, client communication, risk management, safety culture, and project closeout. The role requires someone who can lead from preconstruction through final delivery while keeping teams aligned, owners informed, and projects moving forward. We are looking for a construction leader who understands how to manage the details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of construction management experience
  • Recent experience working directly for a medium to large commercial general contractor
  • Strong project management background on complex commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of project financials, budgets, cost forecasting, margin tracking, and profitability
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish
  • Experience with preconstruction, estimating, GMP development, hard bids, buyout, subcontractor negotiations, and project closeout
  • Ability to lead project teams, manage client relationships, and coordinate with field leadership
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to identify risk, solve problems, and keep projects moving through changing conditions
  • Experience supporting safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, and documentation standards
  • Ability to work closely with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents, Project Managers, and senior leadership
  • Experience with the following technology stack: MS Office, Project management software, Project accounting software, Scheduling software, Construction technology platforms
  • A valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
  • BIM experience preferred
  • Lean construction experience preferred
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own project outcomes related to safety, quality, schedule, budget, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Support preconstruction efforts including quantity takeoffs, scope development, bid packages, schedule planning, trade coordination, and subcontractor review
  • Lead buyout planning, subcontractor selection, scope review, bid analysis, and subcontract issuance
  • Manage RFIs, submittmits, change requests, owner approvals, subcontractor pricing, and project documentation
  • Lead project meetings, progress meetings, owner/architect meetings, and monthly project reviews
  • Develop and manage project schedules with the Superintendent and project team
  • Track labor, materials, procurement, schedule impacts, manpower, weather, scope changes, and mitigation plans
  • Prepare and review monthly cost projections, margin forecasts, owner pay applications, and subcontractor pay applications
  • Monitor project financials, budget performance, costs, profitability, and risk exposure
  • Lead project closeout including punch list, financial closeout, warranties, subcontractor completion, and final documentation
  • Partner with internal teams including logistics, self-perform, safety, risk management, legal, marketing, and senior leadership
  • Build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal project teams
  • Support business development, client presentations, and community or industry relationship-building efforts
  • Promote a strong safety culture and help maintain an injury-free work environment
