About The Position

The Warehouse Facility Industrial Cleaner is responsible for general housekeeping duties within the facility. This includes cleaning and maintaining various surfaces and materials in the breakroom, restrooms, and warehouse. The role also involves assisting the Freezer Department with debris removal, cleaning exterior dock areas, responding to spills, and performing general cleaning tasks throughout the facility. The cleaner will manage cleaning supplies, maintain equipment, keep accurate cleaning logs, and report any maintenance or pest control concerns. Adherence to safety procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as following food safety and GMP requirements, is crucial.

Requirements

  • One (1) year related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Able to lift up to 45 LBS on a regular basis
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
  • Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
  • Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to be self-directed
  • Safety oriented and willing to take steps to perform all functions safely utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures for the use of tools and other equipment.
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Previous janitorial experience is preferred
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and keeps up various surfaces and materials within the breakroom, restroom, and warehouse.
  • Assists the Freezer Department with sweeping pallet and product debris from the dock and within the freezer.
  • Cleans all exterior dock areas and assists with picking up exterior debris around the facility, to include around the dumpster.
  • Responds to urgent situations, such as warehouse spills, that require quick action.
  • Assists with wiping down dock doors and walls.
  • Assists with cleaning the inverter.
  • Mops floors in the breakroom, restrooms, and other applicable areas.
  • Breaks down cardboard boxes and recycles materials as appropriate.
  • Vacuums carpets and all interior carpets and rugs.
  • Washes windows.
  • Cleans and disinfects restrooms, including toilets and urinals, and cleans in and around all restroom fixtures.
  • Sweeps and mops restroom floors.
  • Wipes down tables, countertops, sinks, water fountains, door handles, light switches, and mirrors as needed.
  • Wipes down and cleans microwaves, refrigerators, vending machines, and coffee pots, including cleaning behind each appliance.
  • Checks and replenplishes restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers, as needed.
  • Empties trash throughout the facility, including the breakroom and restrooms.
  • Works with facility management on ordering cleaning supplies and equipment and maintains an appropriate stock at all times.
  • Maintains cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Maintains accurate cleaning log records, including completing and signing off on all required daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
  • Notifies supervisors or managers of major repairs or maintenance concerns.
  • Checks for pest control issues and reports concerns.
  • Follows all label instructions and company procedures when using cleaning chemicals, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safety instructions.
  • Follows all food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements while performing cleaning duties.
  • Assists with other cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate issues to supervisors or managers.
