About The Position

C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios and manufacturing plants to large public venues—keeping our client’s facility running smoothly all the time. This role is for an Industrial Cleaning Technician in Eddyville, Iowa, with a salary of up to $23 per hour with experience. The hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
  • Ability to adhere to all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to perform sanitation and cleaning tasks including washing down, shoveling, de-junking, vacuuming, and sweeping.
  • Working knowledge and ability to operate skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team lead, supervisor, and customer.
  • Ability to maintain adherence to the published work schedule and work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment when required.
  • Ability to maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Ability to complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
  • Ability to maintain positive customer and employee relations.
  • 2 years in industrial cleaning desired but not required.
  • Ability to observe details at close range.
  • Ability to control machine or vehicle adjustments to exact positions.
  • Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures, including washing down, shoveling, de-junking, vacuuming, and sweeping.
  • Assist in formulating sanitation standards and work procedures, and provide feedback on discrepancies.
  • Operate skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
  • Effectively communicate with team lead, supervisor, and customer to accomplish tasks and develop customer relations.
  • Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available for overtime.
  • Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, and scaffolding, utilizing fall protection equipment when required.
  • Maintain communication with supervisor regarding work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
  • Work all shifts, including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
  • Perform other work as defined by the company and/or customer.
