About The Position
Magellan Aerospace, Kitchener has a new opportunity for an Industrial Cleaner/ Janitor. The successful incumbent will be responsible for light cleaning throughout the facility, with the opportunity to assist in our shipping/receiving department. The salary range for this position is $21.09/hr - $22.44/hr, depending on experience. This is a permanent, new position.
Requirements
- Candidate must be detailed orientated
- Must be able to read, write and understand English, with the ability to accept and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Physical fitness and dexterity
- Knowledge of cleaning and janitorial work
- Strong knowledge of health and safety policy and practices
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums
- Ensure all cleaning operations adhere to established health and safety procedures
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, change rooms, lunch rooms and other common areas
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repair
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Light Clearing of snow
- Unpack products, verify paperwork to parts (raw material & hardware)
- Pack and protect product for shipping
- Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks
- Pick orders for production floor for raw material, and assembly
- Work very closely with Shipping Administrator and Manager of Shipping/Receiving
- Any other duties that may assign
