About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a 3rd Shift Industrial Building Maintenance Technician for their Plant City, FL location. This role is integral to keeping the business operational and ensuring customer success through the maintenance of building infrastructure and equipment. The position requires hands-on engagement with building schematics/blueprints, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC systems, general building maintenance, and hi-speed doors. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 1-2 years experience in Industrial equipment made by Crown Lift trucks (e.g., Pallet Jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, Lift Trucks)
• Machine repair experience OR an equivalent combination of education and training
• Successful passing of drug screen and background check
• Able to lift/move up to 100 lbs during your shift
• Basic mechanical skills: Component identification
• Basic electrical skills: Component identification

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a Voltage Ammeter & Ohmmeter (VOM) to measure voltage, current, and resistance

Responsibilities

• Be hands-on with building schematics/blueprints
• Perform electrical troubleshooting
• Maintain HVAC systems
• Perform general building maintenance
• Maintain hi-speed doors
• Work safely on a consistent basis
• Perform basic preventative maintenance after being shown once
• Use hand tools properly and safely
• Use a meter to check continuity
• Wire 480V 3PH motors using simple wiring diagrams
