About The Position

Gordon Food Service is looking for a 3rd Shift Industrial Building Maintenance Technician. The maintenance team is crucial for keeping the organization running smoothly and ensuring customer success. As a maintenance mechanic, you will work hands-on with building schematics/blueprints, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC systems, general building maintenance, and hi-speed doors. The company emphasizes high standards for safety, stability, and training, providing a clean, organized parts room and heavier specialty tools. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • 1-2 years experience in Industrial equipment made by Crown Lift trucks (e.g., Pallet Jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, Lift Trucks)
  • Machine repair experience OR an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Successful passing of drug screen and background check
  • Able to lift/move up to 100 lbs during your shift
  • Must have a high level of initiative
  • Must work safely on a consistent basis
  • Basic mechanical skills: Component identification
  • Basic mechanical skills: Proper, and safe, use of hand tools
  • Basic mechanical skills: Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance after being shown once
  • Basic electrical skills: Component identification
  • Basic electrical skills: Ability to use meter to check continuity
  • Basic electrical skills: Ability to wire 480V 3PH motor using simple wiring diagram

Nice To Haves

  • Voltage Ammeter & Ohmmeter (VOM) to measure voltage, current, and resistance

Responsibilities
