About The Position

Aegis Worldwide — Stoughton, WI Role: Industrial Automation Controls Specialist Schedule & Pay: Full-time, 1st shift | $28–$38 per hour About the Work: Aegis Worldwide has partnered with a manufacturer of sustained-release medication coating systems. You’ll be the go-to expert keeping production equipment reliable and efficient across our Stoughton facility while also supporting our Indianapolis site remotely and on occasional travel. A day in the life Start your morning with the maintenance and engineering teams, aligning on priorities to reduce downtime and improve throughput. Dive into troubleshooting of control systems, including Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, using programming tools and diagnostics to quickly restore operation. Handle wiring, panel build/rewire, field device installation, and commissioning of controls and related equipment. Provide remote technical support to the Indianapolis site; travel as needed for on-site assistance. Support Stoughton’s maintenance crew with electrical and controls-related repairs. Execute preventive maintenance and implement system upgrades that enhance reliability and efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex issues and identify improvement opportunities. Document wiring diagrams, control logic changes, and programming updates with precision. Work safely and maintain adherence to all quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of maintenance experience, or an associate’s degree with 1+ year of related experience.
  • 2+ years in electrical controls or automation systems.
  • At least 1 year of formal training or certification in electrical, high voltage, HVAC, or related technology.
  • Manufacturing background spanning facility or machine maintenance, equipment installation, and preventive maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, including programming and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with electrical and mechanical tools.
