About The Position
The Occupational Health Athletic Trainer supports the health and safety of employees within an industrial setting. This role focuses on injury prevention, early intervention, and rehabilitation through on-site programs and individualized care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited four-year program
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
- Current National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of relevant experience, ideally in worker’s compensation or an industrial setting
Responsibilities
- Evaluate employee health and provide on-site injury prevention and early intervention
- Deliver first aid care and promote safe work practices
- Lead stretching and warm-up programs to reduce injury risk
- Develop rehabilitation and return-to-work plans
- Perform ergonomic and job site assessments
- Coach proper body mechanics and movement techniques
- Support clinic operations, testing, and required trainings
- Build positive relationships with employees and clients
- Provide education through workshops and training sessions
- Maintain certifications and stay current with best practices
