About The Position

The Indoor Greenhouse Sales Associate is a seasonal role responsible for working directly on the sales floor and registers, assisting customers, and upholding Bachman's Customer Service Culture. Key duties include processing all POS transactions, maintaining store appearance by cleaning, caring for plants, dusting, stocking, and displaying merchandise. The associate will also answer customer questions, provide information, process orders, and offer accurate, timely, and friendly service. This position requires a basic understanding of plants and plant care to assist customers effectively.

Requirements

• Requires lifting up to 50 pounds waist high
• Lifting plants and buckets above shoulder
• Able to work at a fast pace, standing for the entire work shift
• Must be able to work with products known to cause allergic responses in some people
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills
• Must be able to read and write in English and perform basic math skills
• Ability to service Bachman’s customer as the NUMBER ONE priority
• Basic understanding and knowledge of plants and plant care

Nice To Haves

• Past cashier experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Work directly on sales floor, and registers, throughout the store, assisting customers and accomplishing “Bachman’s Customer Service Culture”
• Process all POS transactions according to established procedures including delivery orders in OA, sales, returns and transfers
• Maintain store appearance with general cleaning, caring for plants, dusting, stocking and displaying merchandise
• Answer customer questions, provide information and process orders
• Provide accurate, timely and friendly service to Bachman’s customers
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist customers with choosing plants and answer their plant questions
