About The Position

The IAQ & Duct Cleaning Specialist is responsible for improving the health, safety, comfort, and efficiency of residential and commercial HVAC systems through professional duct cleaning, indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments, and customer education. This position serves as a trusted advisor by identifying opportunities to improve HVAC system performance, recommending IAQ solutions, documenting duct deficiencies, and generating leads for equipment replacement or duct system upgrades. Temp Right Service (TRS) is committed to developing technical experts. Qualified employees who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and technical competence will be provided training and support to obtain Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification through the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential and commercial HVAC duct cleaning using TRS procedures and NADCA best practices.
  • Clean supply ducts, return ducts, registers, diffusers, air handlers, coils, and related HVAC components as required.
  • Set up containment systems and protect customer property throughout the cleaning process.
  • Safely operate duct cleaning equipment, vacuum systems, compressed air tools, cameras, and related equipment.
  • Document work performed with before-and-after photos.
  • Evaluate HVAC systems for indoor air quality concerns.
  • Educate customers on contaminants such as dust, allergens, mold, pet dander, mold, pet dander, smoke residue, and construction debris.
  • Recommend appropriate IAQ products including: Air purification systems, UV lighting, High-efficiency filtration, Humidifiers, Dehumidifiers, Ventilation improvements.
  • Explain the benefits of improved indoor air quality without using high-pressure sales tactics.
  • Inspect accessible duct systems for: Damaged or disconnected ductwork, Air leakage, Improper sizing, Poor airflow, Insulation deficiencies, Mold or moisture concerns.
  • Recommend duct repairs or replacement when appropriate.
  • Identify aging or failing HVAC equipment and submit qualified replacement leads to the sales team.
  • Communicate findings clearly through written documentation and photographs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service from arrival through project completion.
  • Explain the cleaning process before work begins.
  • Review completed work with customers.
  • Answer customer questions professionally.
  • Maintain clean work areas and leave customer homes and businesses cleaner than they were found.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety requirements.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Complete all required job documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
