About The Position

Indirect Sourcing Manager I Rockline is seeking an Indirect Sourcing Manager I to develop, execute, and manage sourcing strategies for indirect services, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), projects, and related purchasing categories across North America. This role serves as a strategic business partner, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost savings, optimize supplier performance, mitigate risk, and support long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong sourcing expertise, relationship-building skills, analytical capabilities, and a passion for driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or related experience.
  • Experience leading supplier negotiations, contract management, and RFQ/RFP processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing indirect categories such as MRO, plant services, IT, software/hardware, HR services, or other indirect spend areas.
  • Experience developing and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or C.P.M.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Manufacturing industry experience and familiarity with ERP systems such as JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories including MRO, services, IT, HR, and site projects.
  • Lead supplier selection, RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, contract development, and supplier performance management.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify cost savings, process improvements, and value creation opportunities.
  • Analyze spend, market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry insights to optimize sourcing decisions and reduce risk.
  • Manage multiple sourcing projects while building strong relationships with internal customers and strategic suppliers.
