Primary Purpose: Reviews and work on all assigned accounts, ensuring all applicable collections and recovery efforts are completed. Makes determinations, via full analysis of accounts, on loss mitigation options, repossession, charge off and recovery placement. Completes all applicable and necessary efforts to reach members via phone, electronic and written correspondence with the goal of resolving delinquency, maximizing recoveries and mitigating losses for the credit union. Responsible for determining asset values, cost effectiveness and lien position. Responsible for maintaining account information and communication with vendors. Essential Responsibilities: Vendor Management: Acting as a liaison between companies and repossession agents to secure assets. Remarketing: Managing the sale of repossessed inventory through wholesale auctions to maximize returns. Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring repossession agents comply with laws and company policies. Reporting: Tracking asset performance and preparing condition reports. Regulatory Compliance: Thorough understanding of state/federal repossession laws, UCC guidelines, and CFPB expectations. Logistics: Ability to manage transportation and auction processes for vehicles Must be able to work additional hours as needed, including occasional late nights and Saturdays. Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Other duties as assigned.
