About The Position

Responsible for processing, reviewing and funding new loan packages presented to the Credit Union for funding by approved dealers. Establish new membership, implement and develop plan to increase our product penetration.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills and be very detail-oriented.
• Must be PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access and Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with existing and potential members and dealers.
• Must be multi-task oriented.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of experience in a lending environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the file and completing a pre-audit of the loan documents and determining if the loan is ready to close.
• Verifying residency and income information before funding packages.
• Assuring that all underwriting conditions are met prior to funding.
• Conducting over the phone interviews with applicants to determine authenticity of transactions.
• Verifying and determining calculations pertaining to dealer reserves, Loan to values, payments (Reg Z) and communicating errors to dealer and/or applicant by mail/phone.
• Handling and reconciling general ledgers pertinent to dealer reserves and Indirect lending process.
• Verifying applicants via EFunds/FIS to authenticate applicants.
• Following up with dealers for missing loan documentation and information.
• Processing and certifying special loan financing programs.
• Preparing all dealer loan packages for final approval, processing and funding.
• Performing new account opening and all other related functions.
• Mailing required disclosures to members.
• Adhering to merchandising, telephone and other professional standards as established by Credit Union.
• Handling inquiries, concerns and requests from members and dealers, and communicating to higher authority when necessary.
• Cross-selling additional products via mail/phone.
• Assisting with incoming phone calls for both Indirect Lending/Consumer Lending.
• Compiling daily tracking detail reports and following up on files when needed.
• Preparing monthly indirect lending reports.
• Performing other duties and projects as assigned by management.
