About The Position

The Indirect Lending Funder role is responsible for increasing the Credit Union's portfolio of loans and financial services through relationships with auto dealers and other retail businesses. This position also serves as a backup buyer to the primary buyer, processing funding packets, managing dealership charge backs, and ensuring ACH account balances daily. The role involves supporting members through the loan process, answering calls, and providing necessary documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year or more of similar or related experience.
Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Possess good listening and people skills.
Ability to analyze a member's financial situation.
Ten-key/Calculator and keyboard proficient.
Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
Ability to use financial calculator and related computer applications and business machines.
Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
Must be capable of climbing descending stairs in emergency situation.

Responsibilities

Prioritize daily tasks to ensure dealerships receive prompt service and attention.
Call for stips on waiting packets and ensure timely processing of all funding packets.
Support members through the loan process and answer incoming calls as necessary.
Process Funding Packets: Input and update loan data into the computer system with emphasis on indirect lending loans.
Ensure all processed loan documents are complete and accurate according to policies and regulations.
Document each file in accordance with written procedure.
Provide decline letters and disclosure/welcome packets for new members.
Review incoming loan inquiries submitted through dealerships on the Connections Credit Union Indirect Platform.
Prepare outgoing correspondence and documents in support of Indirect Lending activities.
Act as primary backup buyer during office hours.
Negotiate the completion of the loan to facilitate a smooth transition between dealer, credit union, and member.
Oversee the processing of dealership charge back reports monthly.
Update tracking log and board.
Ensure ACH account balances EACH DAY.
