Magistrate Court is performed at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department courtroom daily. Prepare arrest files with proper forms for defendant and judge. Interview defendants while in custody to determine financial status for indigent defense appointments. Assist judge with questions, copies, forms or as needed. Provides assistance for data collection, data entry and validation of data concerning the Indigent Defense Program. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
