The State Director is responsible for the overall administration and growth of services in Indiana. Dungarvin Indiana has approximately 500 employees who provide services to 250 persons with IDD in residential programs. In this role, the State Director is responsible for setting strategic operations and long-term goals for Dungarvin Indiana, aligning with the organization's mission and vision. They will oversee fiscal direction, including budget planning, financial forecasting, and resource allocation. The role involves driving the expansion of existing services and spearheading the development of new lines of business to meet evolving community needs. Regular evaluations of programs and services are conducted to ensure the highest quality of care for individuals with IDD. The State Director serves as an innovative leader of the operational team in Indiana, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Assuring compliance with all applicable rules, standards, and laws, including state and federal regulations governing IDD services, is crucial. The position acts as the primary representative of Dungarvin and a liaison between senior administrative staff and funding and oversight authorities. Nurturing and developing relationships with potential and existing business partners, including local, state, and Federal legislative and department representatives, is key. Engaging with advocacy groups, trade associations, and other stakeholders to promote the interests of individuals with IDD is also part of the role. Implementing and overseeing staff development programs to ensure a highly skilled and motivated workforce, managing risk and crisis situations, and developing contingency plans are important responsibilities. Staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in IDD services to maintain a competitive edge, and collaborating with other stakeholders within the Dungarvin network to share knowledge, resources, and best practices are also expected. Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on the state's performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth is required. Additionally, the State Director is responsible for fostering a positive organizational culture that promotes inclusivity, person-centered care, and professional growth for all employees.
