Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Technical Lead
About The Position
This role involves Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) technical leadership. The candidate will work in an unsupervised, very small team environment, requiring self-organization and the ability to manage expectations with clients who may not be inclined to share information. The position requires a willingness to learn the nuances of expired Treaties, automated using outdated applications with limited capabilities, and to exhibit intellectual curiosity. Prior military experience is a plus. The role requires a basic understanding, not necessarily practitioner-level, of virtual system architecture, Oracle database concepts, JAVA, RedHat Linux, Micro Service system architecture, cloud-based systems, basic AI concepts, and software testing (or a willingness to learn quickly). Contract requirements include a Secret level security clearance, a basic understanding of Section 508 compliance in applications, and the ability to access Ft Belvoir and Dulles West DTRA facilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience.
- BA/BS or equivalent.
- Secret level security clearance.
- Basic understanding of Sec 508 compliance in applications.
- Geographic location enabling access to Ft Belvoir and Dulles West DTRA facilities.
- Willingness to accept part time work.
- Willingness to learn nuances of expired Treaties, automated using very outdated applications, user interfaces, and limited capabilities.
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity.
- Basic understanding/exposure to virtualized system architecture and Oracle database concepts.
- Basic exposure / understanding of JAVA and RedHat Linux a plus.
- Basic understanding of Micro Service system architecture a plus.
- Cloud based systems basic understanding.
- Application of basic AI concepts a plus.
- Basic understand of software testing. ( or willingness to quickly learn)
