About The Position

Catholic Charities Maine is hiring Independent Support Services Workers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes located in Kittery, Maine. This position will be 20-29 hours per week. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to help people live safely and independently in their own homes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic technology skills
• Active email address
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., walk, climb stairs, and perform household tasks
• Must have your own reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful individuals
• Strong boundaries and respect for confidentiality
• Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right person

Responsibilities

• Help clients remain independent in their homes
• Provide housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Run errands (groceries, pharmacy, appointments)
• Transport clients using your personal vehicle
• Offer companionship and support with daily tasks
• Follow care plans and complete simple online documentation
