Independent Optometrist - Walmart
About The Position
This position is for an Independent Optometrist who will lease space inside Walmart stores to launch their services. As an independent lease holder, the optometrist will have full autonomy to establish their days and hours of practice, control their patient schedule, and set their fee schedule, retaining 100% of exam/professional fees. For a fair market value, the optometrist can opt into equipment instrumentation and administrative/Opt-Tech support services, if allowed by the state. This is not an employment position with Walmart Inc. but rather a lease agreement.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry OD from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state optometry license
- Ophthalmologist MD or DO from an accredited school
- Valid state ophthalmology license
- General Liability Certificate
- Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in patient care with respect to eye and vision care as well as general health and wellbeing
