About The Position

At GSIL, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live independently and fully participate in their community. In this role, you'll work directly with individuals to remove barriers, build skills, and create pathways to greater independence and choice. You'll be helping people stay in their homes, gain confidence, and access opportunities-from learning daily living skills to navigating employment and community resources. Your work will have a direct, meaningful impact on people's lives.

Requirements

Associate degree in human services or related field
2–3 years of relevant experience
Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Pass criminal background check

Experience working with individuals with disabilities

Responsibilities

Meet with consumers in homes and community settings
Conduct intakes and assess needs, including accessibility
Develop independent living plans and goals with consumers
Assist consumers in locating resources to further develop their independent living skills.
Connect individuals with community resources and employment supports
Provide supports to those who are looking to engage in the Access Modification program.
Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
Participate in outreach and community engagement
