Salary band - 65k - 80k Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and detail-oriented team of professionals. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the compliance of purchased products and parts delivered to Alstom facilities, directly contributing to the quality and reliability of our solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Supplier Quality Development (SPQD), Supplier Quality Serial Engineers, and Incoming Inspectors, to ensure inspection processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with our standards. You’ll also manage the team of Incoming Inspectors, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll specifically take care of the daily management of incoming inspection activities and ensure compliance with control plans, but also oversee the development of team competencies and drive performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of quality assurance processes and standards
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and control plans
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reporting (NCR) processes
  • A certification in quality management or a related discipline
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with SPQD, SQ Engineers, and Inspectors to define and register Control Plans in the ERP system
  • Ensuring the implementation of appropriate control keys and associated rules in the ERP system
  • Developing and maintaining inspection instructions and checklists for Incoming Inspectors
  • Managing the process for maintaining and storing inspection records
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures for inspection, tool calibration, and record storage
  • Initiating external special process inspections or lab testing when required
  • Modifying control plans based on non-conformance reports (NCRs) detected during inspections
  • Communicating with Supply Chain and SQ Serial teams regarding defects and their impact on part availability
  • Scheduling daily meetings to manage priorities and workload of Incoming Inspectors
  • Maintaining and publishing KPIs, and identifying opportunities for performance improvements
  • Overseeing team competencies through skills matrix management and organizing training as needed
