About The Position

This is a Summer 2027 internship program where the intern will be a key contributor, completing real work that is important to the company's success. The intern will be a member of the team responsible for the federal and state income tax compliance of the company and its subsidiaries. The intern will have the opportunity to prepare state income tax returns, which involves gathering financial data, performing calculations in working papers, and completing the return in tax software. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals who will guide them in researching and analyzing tax issues and incorporating law changes into the filings.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Will have completed sophomore year by the time of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Office products.
  • Support others without being asked for help, be a team player, and know how to win together.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and opportunities through analytical thinking and offer meaningful recommendations.
  • Use professional judgment to operate in gray areas and can make and own difficult decisions.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining critical attention to detail to meet and beat required deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare state income tax returns.
  • Gather financial data for tax filings.
  • Perform calculations in working papers.
  • Complete tax returns using tax software.
  • Research and analyze tax issues.
  • Incorporate law changes into tax filings.
  • Help achieve Operational Excellence goals through process improvement.
  • Visit operations to see how products are grown, produced, and sold.
  • Gain practical experience and exposure to important software.
