About The Position

To maintain an accurate inventory of inclusions by gathering specifications, documenting batches, and mixing ingredients according to product needs. Essential Position Responsibilities include performing various jobs on the line, collecting batching specs and necessary cases, documenting inclusion details accurately, and mixing ingredients with correct ratios. The role also involves performing duties as directed by the room operator, inspecting labels, cleaning the work area, and maintaining safety procedures. The employee must follow Simmons operating systems, policies, and quality/security guidelines. Additionally, the position involves assisting in the training of new employees on basic dress requirements, safety aspects, job assignments, and sanitation procedures and policies. The role requires active participation as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness, and accepting responsibility to identify and resolve issues that lack cohesiveness. The employee must be familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems and understand their role in supporting these systems, including communicating concerns and improvement ideas. The position also includes performing other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Requirements

Comfortable with personal computers.
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (under 40 degrees-above 100 degrees).
Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
Frequent stair climbing.
Will use hair net, ear plugs, and any other protective equipment as needed or required.

Nice To Haves

Preference for Food Processing Industry experience.
Military experience is valued.
