About The Position

Ensure all inbound truck shipments are received in a timely manner and to ensure accuracy of each inbound receipt. Leads inventory and receiving groups to ensure transactional and physical inventory accuracy for all item movements. The assigned employee is on a cross-functional schedule and will perform specific job duties such as order picking, replenishment, or other tasks associated with the warehouse.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; or one to three years of warehouse or transportation experience preferably in a lead role
Teamwork: Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
Lead by example daily

Responsibilities

Driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift
Use safety precautions while driving forklifts
Work independently
Pay close attention to detail
Scan each inbound truck receipt
Reconcile inbound truck receipts
Must be flexible due to shift changes
Supports other DC areas to facilitate customer order processing; including but not limited to inbound receiving, order picking, truck loading, and confirmation/special handling
Train team members and develop bench strength through cross-training
Become the site ERP system expert
Problem solving
Provide leadership for the warehouse team
Team scheduling
Be process owner of the offshore processes
Responsible for inbound scheduling and the associated work planning
LTL management
Responsible for continuous improvement in receiving and inventory departments
Attend meetings
Serve as the backup for the Outbound Lead
Track metrics
Develop and maintain consistent communication with your teams
Assists with other responsibilities within the Distribution departments to meet business and service requirements
