About The Position

The Inbound Quality Control member will be responsible for receiving, inspecting and recording shipments containing raw material and/or products. Additional responsibilities include unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the order and meet our raw material product specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic math function (add, subtract, multiply and divide) on various units of measure.
  • Ability to apply basic math functions to whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Apply data and situational analysis to make sound judgments on operational procedures.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions in regards to problem-solving, machine set up and product quality.
  • Ability to frequently lift and maneuver up to 55lbs daily.
  • Ability to see details at a close range.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Requires high manual dexterity and fine motor skills in both hands.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and twisting.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1- 2 years’ experience as receiving clerk or similar position.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (MS Office, M1, Outlook, etc.) and data entry.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull. Lifting maximum is 55.1lbs at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Process inbound deliveries
  • Data entry into ERP system
  • Prepare pallets for outbound shipments
  • Drive forklift
  • Inventory control and cycle counts
  • Process stock orders for outbound shipments
  • Collaborate with procurement staff on expected deliveries & cycle counts
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
  • Assume responsibility for notifying Production Control Manager of the unsatisfactory product(s) or receiving replacements
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Ensure invoices are signed
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
  • Prepare pallets for outbound international shipments
