As an Inbound Freight Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, assisting with damaged freight, and preparing trailers. This involves using safe lifting techniques and various freight handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, drum trucks, pallet jacks, and rollers. You will also weigh and dimension shipments, plan cube utilization, inspect freight for damage or shortages, and review freight bills and manifests for special instructions. Handling hazardous materials, including verifying product descriptions and placarding, is also part of the role. The position requires properly blocking and bracing freight to ensure safe transport.
