As an Inbound Dock Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all dock operations, including supervising and coordinating dock associates and managing the routing of shipments and the loading/unloading of freight. A key part of the role involves establishing controls to ensure timely closure of Pickup & Delivery (P&D) units and handling special customer requests efficiently. You will also be accountable for P&D loading, ensuring accuracy in stops, weight, and load conditions to meet error-free work requirements for P&D Drivers. The position requires developing and executing effective loss prevention plans within the Service Center, collaborating with personnel and using process improvement methods. You will maintain responsibility for the integrity of P&D loads originating at the Service Center, with a focus on continuous improvement. Additionally, you will plan warehouse and storage area layouts, considering factors like turnover, size, and weight, and determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow. Assigning duties, examining work for exactness and policy conformance, and managing significant risks are also part of the role.
