About The Position

The Account Representative I is responsible for managing and expanding an existing book of business through inbound demand and account management sales motions. This role focuses on driving incremental revenue growth by identifying expansion and add‑on opportunities within current customer accounts. This is a quota‑carrying role with clearly defined performance expectations and strong historical quota attainment across the team. The Account Representative I partners closely with internal stakeholders to deliver value‑based solutions that support customer success and long-term retention. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1+ year of B2B sales experience, preferably in Software Solution sales
  • Experience managing inbound leads or existing customer relationships
  • Strong ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational and follow‑up skills
  • Proven success in account expansion, upselling, or consultative sales motions – demonstrating the ability to transform customer relationships into strategic, long-term partnerships

  • Familiarity with value‑based or consultative selling approaches is preferred
  • Experience working with technically oriented products or solutions is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined book of business and drive consistent quarter‑over‑quarter expansion in revenue.
  • Convert inbound customer conversations into expansion and add‑on sales opportunities.
  • Proactively identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Qualify, manage, and close expansion opportunities through a short, transactional sales cycle.
  • Drive sales intelligence by maintaining precise pipeline tracking, strategic forecasting, and comprehensive account documentation in Salesforce.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their business needs and aligning appropriate RealPage solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and internal teams to deliver effective product demonstrations as needed.
  • Maintain high responsiveness and follow‑through on customer inquiries and opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue goals and activity expectations.
