About The Position

Lumens is a leader in luxury lighting, furniture, and décor, serving design-minded consumers and trade professionals alike. We’re looking for an Inbound Sales Representative to consult with customers through phone, chat, and email. This role is about more than answering questions, you will turn interest into action by guiding customers through their purchase decisions, providing quotes, and following up to drive conversion. If you’re motivated by helping customers and by hitting and exceeding sales goals with uncapped commission, this role will give you both.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience with a proven track record in a call center, retail, or similar environment.
  • Strong influencing and closing skills, with comfort making follow-up calls to drive conversion.
  • Motivated by achieving and exceeding sales goals, with interest in uncapped commission earnings.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of lighting and home furnishings is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with customers via inbound calls and chats from consumer and trade customers, converting interest into orders.
  • Place follow-up calls and emails on open quotes and proposals to close sales.
  • Confidently consult customers on product details, pricing, and promotions.
  • Manage a sales pipeline with discipline, tracking progress and optimizing close rates.
  • Stay current on vendor updates, promotions, and product training. Receives inbound chats, including transferred sales chats, from current and potential customers.
  • Deliver exceptional service while guiding customers through luxury product selections.
  • Build rapport quickly and adapt to different customer types.
  • Transfer trade opportunities to the appropriate account management team when required.
  • Understand company policies on returns, replacements, and logistics, and transfer customers to the appropriate team when needed.
