About The Position

As a primary contact for customers, the Grocery Home Shopping Department Lead provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The Department Manager spends the majority of their time selecting orders and ensuring that the processing/delivery of customers orders are completed to standards and within set timelines. The Department Lead is held accountable for the department’s results in providing superior service, increasing sales, improving gain, and containing cost. Trains, supervises, schedules, and assigns duties to Personal Shoppers. Ensures all equipment is used according to the company standard and manufacturer guidelines in order to ensure safety and minimize damage. Position involves varying levels of pressure where the Department Lead should be able to respond accordingly. The Department Lead must demonstrate excellent motivation and team working skills and be capable of working both on their own and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Selecting orders for customers
• Ensuring processing/delivery of customer orders are completed to standards and within set timelines
• Training, supervising, scheduling, and assigning duties to Personal Shoppers
• Ensuring all equipment is used according to company standard and manufacturer guidelines
• Responding to varying levels of pressure
• Working both on their own and as part of a team
• Selecting the best products for online shoppers
• Determining substitute products when necessary
• Helping customers in the store
• Spending time in other areas of the store when online orders are slow
