About The Position

Completes repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision. Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. Disassembles, inspects, and cleans engines and/or engine components. Assists with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Completes training in line with skill and business requirements. Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensures adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and reports any issues/incidents to their supervisor.

Requirements

  • Some travel may be needed depending on workload.
  • This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • Minimal level of work shop experience required
  • Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Nice To Haves

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
