About The Position

Assists campus personnel in maintaining a safe and orderly environment by improving students’ attitudes and behaviors, which impacts the overall learning climate of the campus. This role is for the 26-27 school year at Lamar Middle School.

Requirements

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work well with children/students
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Experience working with children/students or parents

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Oversee and provide instructional assistance to individual students on assignments as provided by the teachers.
• Keep the teachers/administrators informed of any special needs, problems, and progress of individual students.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Keep administrative records and prepare reports as required.
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as required.
