About The Position
Tutor Doctor Arizona is seeking a skilled and patient tutor to provide in-classroom scaffolding support for a 9th-grade student. This role focuses on building trust and helping a student navigate the transition from middle school to high school. The ideal candidate is passionate about relationship-driven, individualized support and can commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Requirements
- Experience providing in-classroom support or scaffolding for students with individualized learning needs.
- Comfort and experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
- Patience and skill in building rapport gradually and consistently.
- Currently enrolled in college or hold a college degree.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong communicator.
Nice To Haves
- This student has responded especially well to male tutors recently, though has also worked well with female tutors in the past.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-classroom scaffolding support in English, Health, and study/strategy skills.
- Help a student build confidence during a key transition year.
- Work collaboratively as part of an existing, multi-tutor support team.
- Adapt to the student's pace and comfort level.
