About The Position

The In Room Dining Server serves meals to guests in their rooms. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring timely and proper delivery of all in-room dining orders in accordance with Sonesta performance standards. The server will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, executing assigned side duties, and providing passionate and engaging service. A key aspect of this role is embodying the GUEST model: Greet or welcome everyone, warmly with a smile; Use eye and ear contact and guest’s name; Establish/anticipate needs; Solve and own all requests/complaints; Thank everyone. Building solid relationships with colleagues through respect and dignity is also emphasized. The position may require assisting in other areas of the hotel as needed.

Requirements

Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
Strong communication skills
Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit and ServSafe Food Handler Certification required

Responsibilities

Timely, proper set-up/delivery of all in-room dining orders in accordance with Sonesta performance standards
Conduct routine floor check
Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and work areas
Execute assigned side duties
Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests
Recognize individual guests and anticipate their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations
