In Process Inspection - 2nd shift

The lab tech’s responsibility is to provide cross-section analysis on all final product to certify that the structural integrity of the printed circuit boards meet the customer requirements. After cross-sectioning either coupons or boards, the lab tech will generate a report that can be sent to the customer that provides information relating to the structural integrity of the lay-up and processing of the final product.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively employees of other departments concerning the disposition of cross-sections.
- Must have the ability to perform the basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide). Also must be able to demonstrate the ability to round-off numbers to the proper digit as identified on the blueprints.
- Must be able to comprehend and use the computer and basic software to generate reports, printout reports, take photos of cross-sections and save to the network.
- Must be able to send e-mails to appropriate personnel with attached photos as necessary.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must have very good concentration, must be able remain focused with minor interruptions.
- Must have ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eye glasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in a role requiring technical aptitude
- Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 Manufacturing experience
- Experience with aerospace industry or AS9100 or OFAC helpful
- Printed circuit board and quality experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Evaluate cross section samples in accordance with customer specifications, IPC and Mil specs
- Generate cross section lab report and issue NCMR for non-conforming products
- Prep micro section sample coupons including: baking, cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing specimens
- Perform solderability and steam age testing
- Assist Final QC in conforming with customer cross section requirements for shipping
- Must meet all department quality and throughput requirements as well as follow all company policies and procedures
- Must be flexible in working in various departments as needed and to include overtime needs
