About The Position
International Paper is seeking an In-Plant Ink Technician to join their team. This role involves managing ink for print jobs, providing technical assistance at printing machines, and maintaining customer ink inventory. The technician will also be responsible for reporting, attending meetings, and addressing any technical ink-related issues for the customer, including training and cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- At least two years experience with flexographic printing inks preferred, ideally in a customer in-plant setting.
- Knowledge of and previous experience with ink color matching and press side trouble shooting is preferred.
- Experience in pre-printed liner applications is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Color matches and re-matches
- Manufacture ink batches for print jobs
- Press side technical assistance at the preprint and Direct print machines.
- Maintain customer ink inventory; Work-off/re-work old ink
- File ink usage reports, other reports as necessary
- Attend production meetings and other customer meetings as required
- Any other technical issues needed by customer: Ink training, ink improvements, cost reductions, etc.
