About The Position

Math instruction builds number sense, procedural fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Tutors may also be considered for online roles if they wish to complete their schedule. This is a part-time 1099 contractor role. Engagements are assigned after successful completion of onboarding, with applications considered on a rolling basis for upcoming engagements. Engagements typically run 12–14 weeks, with opportunities in the Fall (November to December) and Spring (January to June). The schedule is during school-day hours, generally three or four days per week, with 45-minute sessions and three to five sessions per day. Applicants must be available for the entire assigned schedule. The rate is $60 per hour, prorated by session. Onboarding includes creating a Braintrust Learning Center account, completing self-paced policy and curriculum modules, setting up a platform profile and submitting required documents, completing a background check and fingerprinting when applicable, attending live Zoom curriculum practice sessions, submitting teaching demonstration recordings, applying to positions, and—once matched—completing platform orientation and a Launch Call. In-person candidates who meet the requirements are invited to a live 30-minute recruiter interview before onboarding. Braintrust Tutors is an equal employment opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment.
