Overview: The In-House Technician Level 2 is responsible for performing intermediate-level technical work on X-ray imaging systems. This role includes diagnosing, testing, repairing, and refurbishing system components with limited supervision. The technician will play a key role in ensuring equipment performance, safety, and quality standards are met while supporting more advanced troubleshooting and repair activities.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience working with diagnostic imaging equipment
  • Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, electrical systems, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and other testing equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude for disassembly and reassembly of complex systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while following strict safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment harvesting and disassembly independently for assigned X-ray systems
  • Apply working knowledge of system architecture to accurately identify, remove, and evaluate components
  • Test and evaluate components using approved procedures and diagnostic tools
  • Analyze test results to determine component functionality and disposition
  • Perform component-level repairs and support system installation activities within scope
  • Troubleshoot common system and component failures
  • Support technical operations and respond to modality-specific technical needs
  • Document work performed, test results, and repairs accurately
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and process requirements
  • Escalate complex or non-standard issues to the Modality Lead
