The In-House Tailor will perform and complete alterations according to Indochino’s guidelines and service standards. This role requires a strong knowledge of garment fitting, fabrics, styling, manufacturing techniques, garment construction, and men’s suiting. The tailor will also provide sound advice on the product, calculate lead times, and manage customer expectations. A customer-centric approach, enthusiasm for the product and brand, and the ability to meet productivity levels are essential. The role involves pressing, steaming, and spot cleaning garments, following quality control guidelines, and completing rush orders and special requests. Maintaining accurate records, coordinating with external alteration vendors, and cultivating customer relationships are also key responsibilities. The tailor will identify and communicate quality discrepancies, assist with customer fittings, educate customers and showroom personnel on fitting techniques, and resolve customer service issues related to alterations. Ensuring equipment maintenance and communicating supply needs are also part of the role.
