About The Position

UChicago Medicine is seeking an In-House Registry Staff Nurse for CCD 6 Pre-Op Recovery. This registered professional nurse provides goal-directed, patient-centered nursing care adapted to the needs of individuals, families, and/or communities during health and illness. Patient-centered care principles and professional nursing practice standards guide the nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. The nurse has primary responsibility and accountability for the care personally provided and for care provided by those directly under their supervision.

This is a 100% onsite position in Hyde Park. The position has a 12-hour shift from 8:00 pm to 8:30 am and requires a minimum commitment of 36 hours per six-week schedule. The nurse is required to work either Christmas or New Year's.

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Active BLS certification.
• Associate Degree Nurses must enroll in a BSN program within six to nine months of hire, make progress toward the degree, and complete it within 30 months.
• Minimum commitment of 36 hours per six-week schedule.
• Required to work either Christmas or New Year's.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree or higher preferred.
