As a Concierge at the Grand Timber Lodge, you will be a key driver of this mission, serving as the vibrant, first point of contact and the face of our renowned hospitality. You will be the architect of "GRAND" vacations, expertly assisting guests with services while playing a direct role in our growth by generating and booking qualified sales tours. Embodying our 'End of the Line' philosophy, you will take personal ownership to resolve every guest situation, striving to close the loop on any issue. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong customer service orientation.
  • A genuine interest in sales and achieving goals; must be comfortable with a role that emphasizes booking sales tours.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Outgoing, professional personality with the ability to establish instant rapport and make guests feel at ease.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of guest situations and strive for resolution.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift between 10-25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 months of related experience in a concierge, hospitality, customer service, or sales-oriented role.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or vacation rental setting.
  • Familiarity with Breckenridge, the ski industry, and local activities/attractions.
  • Experience with a CRM, booking, or property management software.
  • Stronger mathematical skills for calculating discounts and commissions, or experience generating reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in a role that involves dealing with rejection and maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Generate in-house sales tours by engaging with and qualifying potential buyers staying at BGV properties.
  • Book sales tours into appropriate slots, adhering to all procedures outlined in the OPC manual.
  • Make confirmation calls to guests who have booked sales tours.
  • Complete and track all necessary paperwork for promotional incentives given to guests.
  • Make calls to guests with upcoming reservations to offer appropriate gift premiums.
  • Manage and coordinate parking and day-use reservations for guests.
  • Uphold the highest hospitality standards and company culture at all times.
  • Act as the "end of the line" for guest inquiries, taking ownership to resolve situations without passing them along whenever possible.
  • Run daily sales and tour reports as needed.
  • Clean, organize, and restock the concierge work area with marketing materials daily.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of all service and marketing supplies.
  • Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.
  • Accurately record time worked using the company timekeeping system.
  • Maintain a positive, helpful, and courteous relationship with all guests, owners, and team members.
  • Dress professionally, wear a name badge, and adhere to company appearance standards.
  • Attend and participate in company-wide training sessions and department staff meetings.
  • Follow company guidelines for environmental sustainability practices (recycling, composting).
